"Lax" / Jada

Tre, Jada, and Jaden were all out at practice early one day.

Tre said, “I gotta do my homework.” Tre was the type of person that was always thinking about school.

Jaden replied, “Can you do my homework?” Jaden was the type of person that was really good at sports but didn’t really favor school. Jada was the one that was quiet that in a blink of an eye she became an OG. This is the order it went in: Jaden – OOOG, Tre – OOG, and Jada – OG.

At practice they all had fun doing drills and goofing off and Jada did the Michel Jackson, and had to run a lap. Jada was still giggling while she was running her lap so when she came back she had to do ten sit-ups then ten pushups for playing too much. At the end of practice the coach said that they had a game on Saturday at two Pm at Invesco Field and some Scholarship Scouts were coming.

It was Saturday! Tre, Jaden, and Jada were at the field early to find their competition. Jaden said that it didn’t matter who they played, the game was about to start. They had a team meeting; the coach said they were going up against college kids. Jada was shivering out of her uniform and shoulder pads. Jaden was smiling and celebrating in his own world. Tre, he was normal. The game started Tre’s position was attack; Jaden’s position was midfield Jada’s was too. The first faceoff they got, and Jaden Knocked one guy out. Jada scored her first goal of the game. Then Tre broke through all the defenders and scored a goal.

Then they all had some kind of emotional breakdown and tied the game 2 to 2. Jaden setup ICEO, the first play. Jaden went past Jada who set the pick and he passed it to Tre and he scored a goal. Jada got the next faceoff, picked the ball up drove to the goal and quick sticked the ball for another goal.

The final score was 6-8 and City Lax won the game that they played against college kids. The scouts that came they gave Tre, Jaden, and Jada all scholarships to Georgetown University.

"My Room!" / Rahel

My room. Neat and clean, sometimes.
Pink curtains.
Pink bed.
Hold up. Am I a girly girl?
NAAAAHH!
But my room, it explains me.
My telephone - talkative girl.
My closet - love fashion.
My walls - very smart and beautiful because my walls have my trophies, medals, certificates, and my pictures.
So there you have it - my room and me.

"One Wrong Move" / Scott

One day in the city of Eville, Scott Blaylock was walking home when he was caught in the middle of a gunfight and a bullet split a phone wire and zap! Scott was electrocuted and Scott woke up in the hospital the next day. Scott was asking everyone what happened.

The nurse told him, “You were struck by a phone wire.”

“How long have I been stuck here?”

“Three years.”

“Three long years? What?” Scott was so upset. “Why?” he asked himself. “Why was I caught in the middle of the gunfight?”

As he pounded his fist against the bed lightning shot out of his hands. Scott was in shock as the power went out. Everyone was in shock. So Scott left the hospital. He was so scared of what might happen next time if he got mad. He might hurt someone or worse, himself.

Scott ran home and wondered, “Who could I tell? Why would I tell?” Scott wondered why he was enchanted with this gift. Was he the only one? He could change his life with these abilities. Scott realized the only one he could tell was Tina, the love of his life. He bolted down the street and there he ran into an old friend, Brock Taylor.

“Hello, Scott. It’s been a long time since we seen each other.”

“What are you doing here Brock? I thought you were dead.”

“Well Scott I mostly was. You left me for dead. my arms and legs were burned off.”

“I’m sorry it was either die or get out.”

“No! You had time to help me. You were just to d-mn selfish to help me.”

"What's Going On?" / Samantha

It was a dark and stormy night and I was home alone. I could hear noises coming from downstairs. I thought it was the wind until it started to call my name.

Samantha! Samantha!

It was hard to tell where it was coming from since it was so faint. I couldn’t hear the noise anymore so I went back to watching TV.

A few minutes later I heard screaming coming from downstairs. I started to hear the screaming get closer and closer. I got scared so I grabbed my blanket and quickly covered my head. I started to become comfortable until I felt something touch my head.

I was freaked out until I thought to myself, “What if my parents had gotten home early and they were trying to see what I was doing?” I took the blanket off my head but I didn’t see anyone in sight. I grabbed my blanket and ran upstairs into my room. When I got into my room I locked my door, jumped into my bed and covered my whole body with my blanket.

I had just started to fall asleep when all of a sudden someone came into my room locked my door, jumped on top of me and covered us both up with the blanket. I pushed the person off of me and ran downstairs into my basement. It was very dark and I couldn’t see anything. When I started to walk I stepped on something this thing I stepped on turned don the TV.

Apparently someone had put the tape of my 6th birthday in and was watching it.

It started where my mom was calling my name to come inside.

She said, “Samantha! Samantha!” Before it could say anything else I turned the TV off and it became dark again. I started to walk towards the stairs when I stepped on something furry. I didn’t know what it was so I started to scream and run up the stairs. When I got into the living room I saw someone sitting on the couch with my blanket over their head.

I went over to the couch and right when I went to grab my blanket this person took the blanket off their head. You wouldn’t guess who I saw. ME! I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. But before I could say anything my world began to shake and I could hear my name being called.
But before I could say anything my eye lids opened and I could see my dad standing over me. He said, “Did you pee the bed?”

I stood up and said, “No, I was just sweating a lot.” So I waited until my dad left the room and when he left, I got up, changed the sheet, and went back to bed.
